Daniel Mankelow

I started my working life for a market research company doing data entry at the tender age of 15. I quickly established that this wasn’t for me and as my uncle had opened a recruitment agency I thought why not and jumped in and joined First Call Contract Services. I started in Tottenham in 1997 and have been there ever since. I worked my way up the ladder to my current role of Operations Director.

I had my first tattoo in 2003 and got the bug straight away I didn’t however get my next ink until a few years later. Time passed so quickly and it wasn’t until 2015 that I got back in the chair however this experience was completely different. The difference was Hayden, we clicked the first time we met and as I spent a lot of time in the chair and we got to know each other very well. We shared a lot of common interests and one main interest was the UFC. Hayden was working for them at the time and still does now and due to a very good mutual friend a Mr Dave Lewis I am also working for the UFC. We had some off the cuff discussion about owning our own studio and these discussion started to gather pace and in March 2017 the idea became reality. Prophecy Tattoo Studio and Art Gallery Ltd was born.

The studio was renovated with Hayden spending every minute of every day there grafting. Many of Hayden’s clients and fiends all chipped into help. The end result was amazing and the studio looks fantastic.

I would never had imagined in my wildest dreams how successful we would be in such a short space of time. We are onto a winner here and the Prophecy team is growing we now have the amazing Sergio as an additional artist, the wonderful Hrisy our piercer and Emma our apprentice.
